The following are the most frequently asked questions we receive based on customer enquiries. This list is updated periodically to reflect the balance of enquiries we receive.
Why are your prices so low?
We purchase our stock in bulk directly from leading UK-based bathroom manufacturers. This allows us to pass the savings made from not buying through distributors on to our customers.
Is the quality of the products reflected in the low prices?
Certainly not! Every product we sell has been thoroughly tested to ensure it conforms to all necessary British and European standards. All our products are sourced from leading UK-based manufacturers and are supplied with a manufacturer guarantee. You can view the guarantees available from each manufacturer by clicking the manufacturer links at the bottom of any page on our website. Each manufacturer page also lists details for contacting the manufacturer directly should you require any support with a product you have purchased.
Do you sell spare parts?
Unfortunately, we do not sell spare parts. However, should you require a spare spart for a product you have purchased from ourselves please contact us and we will endeavour to resolve the matter.
Do you offer a fitting service and/or can you recommend a fitter?
We are a retailer only and do not offer a fitting service nor can we recommend a specific fitter/plumber to carry out any work. Therefore, we strongly advise all our customers to independently verify that any person or company employed to carry out work on their behalf is suitably qualified and competent to do so. At a minimum, we advise you check whether your plumber or fitter is a current member of one of the following organisations:
- The Competent Persons Register is a register of companies and individuals that have been assessed as being competent by a government authorised certification scheme. Contractors on this register are regularly assessed to the standards of their sector and are able to self-certify their work as meeting the requirements of the Building Regulations.
- TrustMark is a Government licensed, not for profit organisation whose members have received accreditation from a Government endorsed Scheme Operator. Additionally, all TrustMark members follow a mandatory code of conduct.
- Checkatrade.com is an independent website that performs a strict background check on all members and is free for consumers to use. All Checkatrade members agree to uphold The Checkatrade Standard.
Please note that neither The Competent Persons Register, TrustMark, Checkatrade nor any of their members are affiliated with 4bathrooms in any way; we therefore advise you verify any plumber or fitter you choose is suitably qualified and competent to carry out the work required. Should any product develop a fault during or after installation either ourselves or the relevant manufacturer may request the contact details of the fitter or plumber that carried out the installation; we therefore request you keep a record of these for future reference. Any product guarantees or warranties will be voided if any fault is found to have been caused by incorrect or improper installation.
Can I return a product if I change my mind?
Yes, you can. Please refer to our Returns Policy.
How much will shipping cost?
Shipping is free for all orders over £100 to postcodes located in England & Wales (mainland only). Other areas may incur a delivery surcharge; you can see all delivery options and any applicable shipping charges for your order at any time by using the 'Shipping Options' form found in the shopping cart.
Can I specify AM or PM delivery?
This is something we are working on with our carriers but is not available at present. However, if your order is small enough that it can be sent via parcel courier the courier will attempt one delivery within the delivery window specified. If nobody is available to sign for the delivery on the first attempt the driver will leave a card with instructions for arranging re-delivery at a more convenient time. Larger orders are sent via a pallet carrier who will call in advance to book a suitable delivery slot with you using the telephone number provided during checkout.
Please note that orders booked on next working day or Saturday delivery will not receive prior notification before delivery.
